Suite packages have been available for the office for years, but only in the last two have companies begun to realize the need for similar 'net packages. Several 'net suites have been introduced that include most or all of the following: web browser, newsreader, mail, FTP, conferencing, and telnet clients. Unfortunately, most of the current suites fail to live up to expectations. Several of these apps are no longer supported (most likely due to the inability to compete with Netscape Communicator and Internet Explorer 4.0) and some others are still available only as beta clients.
